The signature aluminum lipstick component was a starting point for the brand and the basis for creating a product of quality from inside to out. Maintaining this visibility from start to nish was essential in being able to offer something new and unique to the beauty industry.

The philosophy behind the now LA based brand grew from the curiosity of understanding the ingredients on the back of a lipstick box a few years prior by its founder, Sasha Plavsic. The discovery led to the realization that the organic color cosmetic industry was in need of a brand that could offer contemporary shades, sophisticated packaging and better product performance. With this in mind Sasha became committed to producing beauty products that women can love for their look and trust for their quality. The rst collection of Tinted Lip Conditioners launched in Vancouver, Canada, in 2011 with one formula and 6 shades. ILIA’s product line grew from six to 52 pieces in less than three years with a focus on lip care. The brand has quickly placed itself as a niche color cosmetic line available in over 18 countries globally.
