Baobab Collection has been created in 2002 in the magnificent landscapes of Tanzania with intense colours and enchanting perfumes. The handmade collection of decorative candles produced in Belgium since 2004 underlines its African heritage by proposing eight exclusive colours combined with a selective fragrance that will bring you to the African heartland…
Baobab Collection consists of a range of coloured and scented candles poured into transparent glass vases. Five sizes compose the collection of which the majestic “Maxi Max” that pushes aside the place generally held by the candle in our interiors. This candle of about ten kilograms sits enthroned as high as forty centimetres to illuminate and perfume our evenings during almost one thousand hours without leaving residual wax on the glass. An extreme quality only made possible by the expertise and meticulous work of real craftsmen.
Every used material is handcrafted and every gesture of finishing is handmade. Vases blown piece by piece by craftsmen glassworkers make a unique model of each copy with a linear finishing aboard straight acquired by a process of cold cutting and manual polishing. It is precisely on this straight edge that will come to rest the black satin ribbon giving this pure and sober line to the candle.
Labels will not fail to the rule by being applied by hand on every vase and every box in the manufacture in Wavre by women with definitive and delicate gestures. Even the packaging was admirably studied. A very identifiable black box covered with a buckram paper by a Belgian craftsman which, once more, strongly inspires sobriety and elegance.
