Escentric 01:
Second only to its sister scent Molecule 01, Escentric 01 boasts the highest concentration of the aroma chemical Iso E Super ever to be used in perfumery (65%).
The woody nature of this note is joined with top notes of pink pepper, lime peel and orris incense to create a moving fragrance intent on taking you right from the opening to the base in one sweeping, dramatic move.
The tart lime and zesty pink pepper are a sparkling shot into the dark heart of Escentric 01’s moody, soft wood nature, while orris incense adds a dash of smoky incense and turns up the heat. Emotional and dazzling.
Molecule 01:
Aroma chemicals are used in virtually all modern fragrances to bring to recreate scents like jasmine or violet or cedar or a host of other familiar olfactory favourites.
Molecule 01 is the first of its kind to pay homage to just one of these hidden delights—the not so sexy sounding Iso E Super.
You know it as a sweet sandalwood/cedar-like smell…a base note prevalent in many legendary perfumes, and it finally gets to shine all on its own.
The velvety woody note is highly sensitive to body chemistry and twists and turns as it evolves, enticing the wearer with an almost pheromone-like fascination.
The science of scent is finally on display and is sure to delight those woody fragrance aficionados who love to venture forth and discover something devastatingly unique.
There’s nothing like it in the world.
Escentric 02:
Escentric 02 uses an unparrelled concentration of ambroxan, in combination with vetiver and muscone, a particularly gorgeous nature-identical musk. Orris, elderflower extract and hedione lead into the instant effervescence of the topnote, again, a fresh "mineral" effect.
Geza Schoen free associates: "Gin and tonic, a hint of Austrian lemonade called almdudler, the whiff that you get when you first open an Apple laptop..."
It’s a clear, clean scent, but it dries down to something warm, sexy and elusive. If the Escentric Molecules repertoire has a hint of paradox at its heart, you might say, in this case, that Escentric 02 has a haunting sparkle.
Molecule 02:
Molecule 02 is based on ambroxan, a nature-identical aroma-molecule. Real ambroxan is found in ambergris, but the stratospheric costs of its extraction makes it prohibitive for use in fragrance. Ambergris itself is one of the few natural animalic fragrance ingredients that has no connotations of cruelty because it is produced and excreted by the sperm whale. It can float on the ocean for years evolving under the influence of the sun and salt water.
Then it is collected when it washes up on shore, by which stage its distinctive nutty, warm scent is a symphony of boronal, ambrinol, dihydro ionone gamma – and its best smelling aromatic part, ambroxan.
Wear Molecule 02 and you will notice a fresh, almost mineral smoothness which subtly expands to envelop you.
